If you wish to prevent skin aging, or at least, slow it down, you can actually have a look younger diet. It is a diet that requires you to have anti ageing foods more often, or in other words, foods that make you younger. Yes, there are foods that can give you healthier skin, help your body fight the free radicals, thus, giving you a more youthful skin.

Here are the food types and examples of foods that are recommended to people who wish to inhibit aging, most especially skin ageing:

A. Anti Inflammatory Foods

Foods that have anti-inflammatory properties are effective in thwarting the aging process. Examples of these kinds of foods that help prevent skin aging are: garlic, leeks, onions, acai fruits, yogurt, and so on.

B. Anti-Oxidant Rich Foods

A look younger diet is also incomplete without the presence of foods that have a lot of anti-oxidants. Anti oxidants are actually very good for the skin, which is why anti-oxidant rich foods are part of the list of foods that make you younger. These foods fall under this category: kale, spinach, raisins, prunes, and different types of berries.

There are also foods that can be considered as super anti ageing foods. In other words, they are believed to be more effective in fighting ageing when compared to anti-inflammatory foods and the foods that have high anti oxidant levels:

Watermelons are highly recommended if you wish to prevent skin aging. You see, a watermelon contains so many minerals and vitamins and should always be included in your look younger diet.

Avocados are also good examples of anti-aging foods. They are included in the list of foods that make you younger because they are good sources of healthy fats that can decrease the level of bad cholesterols and also adds to the amount of good cholesterols in your body. Remember too that avocados contain a lot of vitamin E, which means, of course, that they are very effective in thwarting aging.

Included in the list of effective anti ageing foods are beans. They are actually rich in anti oxidants, plus, they are high in protein, so, if you have the aim to prevent skin aging, better eat a lot of beans per week.

The beverages you drink can also help you in your aim to have younger-looking skin. In fact, you should not forget to include the following drinks to the look younger diet plan: red wine, green tea, and of course, H20 (water).

Now that you've learned about some of the foods that make you younger, you can actually start your mission to have skin that looks more youthful and is healthier. Of course, aside from eating anti ageing foods, you should also engage in regular exercise and have enough sleep/rest as those can also help prevent skin aging.
