Stretching should not be very relaxing but it should be a little uncomfortable. The more that you understand about your body the easier it will be to stretch and warm up before you set out on your run.
You also need to make sure that you are taking the time to understand what goals you need to set. The goals that you set will allow you to start slowly and continue throughout the rest of your workout.
First, you may want to start by running just one mile. As you are pushing through a mile you have to make sure that you are taking the time to make a schedule that will be conducive to allowing you to run each day.
Many people need to take the time to understand that even a mile is well worth their time. Eventually you can start to run more than a mile and gradually you will be able to work your way up to long distances.
The longer distances that you are running the more energy your body is going to need. When you are running you have to make sure that you understand how you are going to keep your body energized throughout the whole process.
This means that you want to take the time to eat the proper foods. There are a lot of people that do not understand that a balance between many types of foods will be the best way to keep their body healthy.
As you are striving to be healthy you also have to make sure that you are sleeping. When you are getting good sleep you will be much more energized on your run and will be able to have a more productive time running.
Some people like to run indoors and others like to run outdoors. You have to make sure that you are taking the time to understand what type of running is going to be most beneficial for you during your day.
There are some people that find it soothing to be outside when they run and others that do not like dealing with the elements of the outdoors. No matter where you choose to run make sure that you are running consistently.
You should also stay hydrated throughout your run. The more hydrated that you are the easier it will be to stay energized and complete the runs that will eventually allow you to accomplish your long distance running goals.
