The acai berry comes from the Amazon rain forest in Brazil and for hundreds of years the natives that live the have been harvesting this berry as a part of their diet. Although it has been used for hundreds of year, just recently, it popularity has increased and has spread through the United States and there are a lot of people that rave about the nutritional quality that it has.

The best advantage of using the acai berry in one's diet is that it is said to help in weight loss and it also has some anti-aging properties that is beneficial for a lot of people. It has antioxidant properties that will help one eliminate all the toxins in the system in order to have a healthier body. This particular berry is said to have a flavor that can be described as an exquisite blend of chocolate and also berries.

There are a lot of companies now that are trying to market it is the superfood that one should put in the diet in order to loose weight and also to protect your body for heart disease.
