Lucid dreaming is known as being able to retain conscious awareness while in the state of dreaming. The studies of lucid dreamers, people who perform wake-initiated lucid dreams, indicate that these people experience the feeling of hanging above their beds and leaving outside their body.

Such a way of dreaming may weaken the conscious mind, subconscious mind, reality and vision of dreaming that might lead to problems of a dissociative life. It is probably the most common form of dissociation, having problems distinguishing your waking memoirs from memories of a dream. This can really become a problem for those lucid dreamers who have previously had zero to recall.

Now, suddenly, they have all these illogical memories to sort out. This is unlikely to be a major problem but may present a big disturbance to all lucid dreamers.

Your mind is capable of keeping more memories of your dreams. You can also take on a novel life in lucid dreams, without realizing the risk. This has a real optimistic effect on your waking life, not to mention the huge fun that comes within your own virtual reality dream world.

You will have dreams that are full of action with your greatest fantasies in full color. A good practice in a dream can improve your overall performance; healing dream images can improve your physical health. Medical patients have often used some peaceful and positive imagery to relieve pain, and this dream offers the most dazzling form of imagery.

Thus, some people have used lucid dream to overcome their fears, working with grief, lessening social and sexual anxiety, while achieving self-confidence. These dreams can facilitate physical healing. Another form of lucid dreaming healing application would include enjoyment of sexual satisfaction by people with lower body senses. The reason is that satisfying dream sex requires only mental stimulation.

It should be noted that experiencing this kind of dreaming is not the exact equal to being in control with your dreams. While experiencing lucid dreams may have you realize that you are in a dream, you may not be able to gain full control on how the dream would go. Gaining control over your dream though, would be taking it to another level. If you are able to achieve it, you may enjoy the experience since you can do almost anything in your dream, knowing that you cannot be harmed by anything.

Lucid dreams can encourage recovery of neuromuscular function and rapid recovery of injury and illness. These increases sense of freewill for anyone who feels being limited by the disability.

Continuous use and practice is the greatest way to achieve lucid dreaming. Nobody claims though that such a way of dreaming is easily achievable. There are many people who want to take advantage of this practice since there are a lot of things they can do while experiencing such a state.
