The campaign to save the environment had been effective to people that many prefer to buy items which are labeled organic natural products, for reasons that greener products are tested to be safer for use in the body and the environment. But often times, consumers get mixed up the difference of organic and natural and most often, they use these words interchangeably. If you are up to changing all households to green then you better be aware of the differences and how to detect the right one among those who make false claims.

For many years, people had misunderstood the meaning of organic and natural. They had falsely believed that these are one and the same, where as the fact is that, these are two different things.
Products that are advertised as all natural are not precise at all. The Food and Drug Administration defines this as products that go through the process without the use of preservatives or any additives. The agency also requires the list of ingredients from the manufacturers. These are only the requirements necessary in order to place label of being natural. Being a responsible consumer, it is necessary to read through the label and not solely rely on the advertisements. The product you patronize might have a non natural component like lead, mercury, or phthalates. You have to avoid products with either of these ingredients and shift to something which is safer.

Meanwhile, organic products are those that go through inspection by the United States Department of Agriculture. This is to make sure that all components of the product are made of botanicals and were grown from a chemical free environment. Before a certain product is approved, this will go through strict inspections and are expected to abide on the standards and regulations set by the said department. It should be at least 95% - 100% organic. Always search for the organic seal in order to confirm the authenticity of the product. It is a tough challenge for consumers to make the right choice, since there are several products that claim to be organic despite the fact that they haven't passed the inspection. To make sure, the labels should be checked thoroughly in order to be aware of the products bought in groceries.

Most areas that make use of the organic natural products are cosmetics, cleaning items, foods, pet foods, and other household materials. These are common items that make use of organic and natural components. In order to become a wise buyer you have to be very delicate on going through the labels of ingredients. This is for your welfare as users. Now that you are aware of the difference of organic and natural you will be capable of choosing the right product for you.
