The fat loss 4 idiots diet is a popular online diet program based on a concept called calorie shifting. Calorie shifting is simply a method whereby you constalty disrupt your bodies calorie intake and confuse your metabolism.

What happens to most people when dieting is they lose weight very well for a week or two and suddenly hit a plateau. This plateau is caused because the body adjusts and adapts to the diet and weight loss slows or sometimes stops completely. Calorie shifting is a method where you 'trick' your metabolism per say and get it to burn calories at a higher rate and continuously.

The fat loss 4 idiots diet is comprised of 2 parts. 1 being a handbook you get access to that covers everything from eating healthy, 10 rules of losing weight, eating at night, eating out and many other topis. And 2, your online diet generator. The diet generator is really the highlight of the program. In the diet generator is a menu full of foods. They are common foods someone would by at the grocery store or probably already has in their cupboard. You are instructed to pick a certain amount of food items from the left and right side of the menu. You press enter and an 11 day menu is printed out for you. This menu contains your meals for the next 11 days. You are told EXACTLY what, when and how to eat.

After the 11 days you have 3 cheat days where you are allowed to relax and have a few dishes you would not otherwise be allowed to have on most diets.

After the 3 cheat days you can print out another 11 day menu with the same or all new foods. Every menu you print will be different. The foods are combined according to the calorie shifting principle. You have lifetime access to the diet generator. Each cycle lasts exactly 11 days followed by those cheat days

Pros:
- Results occur quickly which keeps dieters motivated
- Step by step eating plan to avoid failure
- Large list of foods
- Easy to follow and stick to

Cons:
-It can sometimes get boring if you like to combine lots of foods or cook extravagant meals (not allowed here)
- The all veggie or fruit days can be hard
- The product claims 9 pounds loss in 11 days but that seems to be the UPPER limit of weight loss. More average results are around 5-6 pounds in those 11 days

The fat loss 4 idiots diet also includes a vegetarian option for those that don't eat meat.
