People who yearn to get 6 pack abs do not only need to rely on frequent exercise; yes, if you plan to flatten your tummy and have a sexier abdomen, you should not only think that you only have to work your abs often - you should also follow a six pack diet, or in other words, a flat belly diet. To know which foods and practices make up the above mentioned diet, continue reading below:

Eat a lot of high fiber foods

Fiber rich foods are what you should increase in your diet if you plan to sculpt your body or achieve sexier abs. You may not know this, but aside from promoting body detoxification, foods that are rich in fiber contain lower calorie content, and will make you feel fuller, thus, they can help you get 6 pack abs since you need not worry about gaining too much fat, and you are also prevented from over eating, which are both important. If you work your abs yet you fail to follow the so called six pack diet, you won't get the results you've been expecting.

Eat foods that have a good amount of protein

Remember that protein is the building block; this means that it builds muscles and is also responsible for muscle recovery. Protein-rich foods are therefore included in a flat belly diet. You should eat foods like eggs, cheese, salmon, etc, as they have high amounts of protein. Protein can also boost your body's metabolism, thus, preventing fat from building up, which will help you if you want to get 6 pack abs.

Drink a lot of water

Aside from having to work your abs, remember too that drinking lots of H20 is essential, and is always included in a six pack diet. Water actually helps eliminate those hunger pangs, and can fill you up. There are times wherein you feel hungry, but when you drink water, that feeling goes away. Drinking a good amount of water, therefore, is one of the inclusions in a flat belly diet.

Eating 5 - 6 meals per day is recommended

In the past, we were taught that it is important to eat 3 meals in a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nowadays, however, if you want to be healthier and if you wish to get 6 pack abs, you should eat more than 3 times a day, with the meal sizes decreased. You see, eating smaller meals, about 5 up to 6 times daily, will boost your metabolism, thus, your excess fats are burned faster, helping you in your quest to have a flatter abdomen.

These are some of the components of a six pack diet. Remember that it is not only necessary to work your abs e.g. through exercising, it is also important that you have a flat belly diet, as those two are needed if you wish to achieve sexier abs. In other words, a proper diet and exercise are the tools you should make use of in order to get 6 pack abs.
