To keep hemorrhoid at bay, combination of a healthy hemorrhoid diet and healthy life style is very important. A must have, high-fiber diet prevent conditions of hemorrhoids, constipation, colon polyps, colon cancer, and high cholesterol from taking place.

High Fiber diet keeps stool soft and reduces pressure resulting in smooth bowel movements. Water when mixed with diet rich in fiber is very good for stomach. So our regimen must involve drinking 6-8 glasses of water per day. Recommended daily intake of fiber is 20 to 35 grams. On an average, people in developed nations eat much less than that. Beyond 35 grams is also not recommended as the same creates much larger pressure on the bowels.

If you are susceptible to hemorrhoids and you're trying to ward it off, then there is always a right hemorrhoids diet that you should follow. If you are currently suffering from hemorrhoids then you need too have bulk fiber intakes in your diet on daily basis. This will definitely help with your present hemorrhoids and prevent hemorrhoid's further recurrence in times to come.

In addition to supplements, including more and more natural foods in your diet such as whole-grain breads, bran cereals, fruits and leafy vegetables are also important. These are all what we known as healthy life style. Drinking more water not only helps in making fiber more effective but it also makes the stool soft leading to reduced pressure on bowel movement. To prevent hemorrhoids, it is also best to avoid processed food specially made from fine grinded flour (fast food is a good example) in your hemorrhoid diet. This is because refined or processed foods have little amounts of fiber content. Excessive reliance on fast foods is what makes this disease a disease of rich nations. It is of no surprise that highest incidents of hemorrhoids are found only in developed nations relying on fast food economies.

Hemorrhoids are not so common in developing and poor countries. Fast Foods normally do not contain roughage and fibers in sufficient quantities to enable intestine to pass stool smoothly. This causes excessive strain in the rectum during bowel movement. A hemorrhoids diet means that you should avoid foods that may cause indigestion. To improve your diet for keeping hemorrhoids at bay, add foods that contain more dietary fibers. You can include some or all of the following:

-Whole-grain foods and breads.
-Fresh fruits
-Dried or stewed fruits.
-Root vegetables example being reddish, carrots, turnips or potatoes.
-Raw or fresh vegetables, such as cabbage, spinach.

Eating bran cereal in the breakfast is often the simple and easiest way to obtain fiber. Bran may cause intestinal gas. Therefore it should be taken in small doses, first. The amount can be steadily increased as the body gets acclimatized. The goal should be to have one to two soft-formed stools a day. High fiber hemorrhoid diet has to be supplemented with exercise and following a routine religiously. Our body also needs some kind of schedule day in and out. Any disturbance in the daily regimen gets manifested in form of diseases.
