The treadmill is an excellent equipment option of people that want to get into better shape, because of the simplicity of the concept and the direct way that the exercise takes place. It is possible to greatly improve physical fitness and build up the body to be more effective while using this equipment.

However, there are some obstacles that may present themselves to the person who is engaged in the activity and hamper their overall progression. These obstacles represent both the physical and mental aspects of the workout, and also represent how the equipment will need to be used in order to secure an overall positive result.

The first obstacle that may interfere with the overall progression of the workout sessions is that the person may slow their progress because they have adopted the wrong mindset regarding exercise. Setting the treadmill to a moderate setting and running on it until the body no longer feels fatigue over time is a good start. After they have successfully adapted to that setting, then the person should introduce an element of progression into the proceedings.

Increasing both the time and the difficulty by small intervals over time will keep the body adapting. Every time that the body reached a certain level of capability, the user should increase the load slightly.

The participant will likely not notice these small increases on their own, but if many are introduced over time, then a greater effect will be achieved. Utilizing this function helps the participant use the treadmill to its full potential, as well as unlocking theirs.

Utilizing a treadmill to its full potential requires that the user be well versed in the operation of the equipment and understand how the body will react to the stimuli that it is being subjected to over time.
