Whether you'd like to lose some weight, have started becoming conscious of your health, or want to stop being sick, in other words prevent illness, you should realize that a good diet is essential. If you want to learn more about healthy foods to eat, as well as healthy eating tips, read on:

1. Eat more fish.

Sure, beef and pork may taste better than fish, but, fish actually have omega 3 fatty acids that are good for the heart, and are considered as healthy fats. It is recommended that you eat fish or other seafood at least 2 - 3 times every week for better health. It is also advisable that you bake fish and seafood more compared to frying them as fried seafood/fish is less healthy than the baked variety. Believe it or not, adding fish and sea food in your diet really helps you stop being sick.

2. Choose your meat carefully.

Eating pork and beef can still be part of a good diet, especially if you choose lean pork and lean beef. The fats on the pork as well as on the beef may taste really good, but they can also cause high blood, high levels of cholesterol, and put you at risk for heart disease, thus, included in healthy eating tips is to prefer lean meat over fatty cuts of meat.

3. Increase your consumption of fresh vegetables and fresh fruits.

The list of healthy foods to eat, of course, will not be complete without fresh veggies and fruits. Remember that fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins and minerals that our bodies need in order to become stronger and healthier. Green vegetables are highly recommended. Citrusy fruits are also effective in aiding your body to stop being sick, specifically with these illnesses: colds, flu, cough, etc. Keep in mind too that it is better to eat fruits for dessert rather than eat sugar rich desserts such as cake, pie, chocolates, and the likes.

4. Drink a greater amount of clean water daily.

Included in healthy eating tips is also for you to drink many glasses of water every day, at least 8 glasses a day is highly recommended. Clean water is considered as one of the healthy foods to eat, specifically healthy drinks to take, as water helps wash away the toxins, excess fats, etc, out of the human body, thus, a good diet is never complete without this tip of drinking lots of H20 daily.

To stop being sick, remember to also lessen the frequency with which you eat processed foods, deep fried meals, and so on. You should also realize that it is better if you eat more than 3 meals in a day as long as those meals are small in size, compared to eating 3 huge meals per day. These healthy eating tips will definitely make you healthier and more energetic if you follow them to the letter. Why not start utilizing them now?
