Urinary tract infection has been a notorious problem that's been around for as long as you could remember. Although there were numerous products claiming that they can cure UTI permanently, millions of Americans and people from different nations that are still crying out of excruciating pain that this urinary problem brings.
Unhealthy lifestyle, unbalanced diet and poor hygiene are known causes of the said problem. However, medical professionals still cannot point out the exact reason as to why people, acquire such problems in the urinary tract.
Aside for the aforementioned, unprotected sex and promiscuity are also two possible reasons for the onset of these UTI-causing bacteria. It has been known that women who engage in sexual intercourse for more than four times each month, especially with more than you partner, can trigger the onset of this disease.
That is not to say that couples should limit their sexual intercourse to just thrice each month; it should be noted that practicing safe sex by using condom and other contraceptives prescribed by medical professionals and maintaining proper hygiene are factors that can prevent you (or two) from acquiring urinary tract infection.
You should also check if there had been cases of urinary tract infection in the family especially with mothers. If so, be sure to ask for a gynecologist's appointment, so as to rule out the possibility of you acquiring you, too.
If in case you had a history of UTI yourself, especially before you turned fifteen, it is best to consult your doctor again to make sure that your infection will not come back.
If you are already suffering from urinary tract infection, it is advisable to quit smoking (if you are a smoker) as cigarettes increase your chance of making the disease worse.
Drinking alcoholic beverages should also be stopped as this poses the same threat as that of cigarette smoking.
The following are biological factors that each person, infected or otherwise, should be aware of with regards to UTI:
* Women have a 90%r chance of acquiring the disease because a woman's urethra and anus are closer than that of a man's, making it easier for bacteria to reach the bladder.
* Some women have SGG compounds in their systems, which make them more susceptible to E.coli, the UTI-causing bacteria.
* Certain women are more pryou to becoming infected in the vaginal area compared with others
* Women who have human-beta-defensin-1 (our body's natural antibiotic) deficiency are a greater risk of acquiring the infection, so it is best to have at least an annual check up to make sure that you is in the pink of health.
In addition, women who have had problems in their urinary tracts before (or even
those who had previous vaginal infections) should always maintain at least a monthly check up.
Just to be sure that all the bacteria have already been wiped out from the system. It is always advised to learn more about the disease and keep track of your medical records so as to always be safe and informed, rather than suffer the aftermath.
