Nursing jobs and medical careers are placed in the services category. Nursing positions includes being a nurse in a hospital, giving assistance to the elderly in an assistance home or even making personal house calls. Home health aids are often over looked when people consider types of nurses. However, they are just as qualified as regular nurses if not more because of the one on one personal experience they acquire through working directly with patients.

This is one of the fastest growing employment fields of the times. Although service fields of employment are expected to grow in the near future, the nursing aspect will be a bit slower during this growth process. This is due to the qualifications placed on them, and the demands it takes on the person fulfilling them. Also nursing openings will not grow as fast as for home health aides, because of the largely centralized positions taken in non-health aide positions.

This isn't the only route in this profession. There are numerous jobs. There are opportunities such as pharmacist, physician, surgeon, medical billing such as insurance. The future of all of these professions are being improved and incline with the advancement of technology.

Surgeons can now use special tools to help them during surgery which lowers the percentages of moralities during these procedures. This translates into lowered Mal practice rates which only helps to creates more openings for medical analysts who work in medical billing offices. Technological advances serve this professions and nurses and home health aides more than ever and have historically.

The field employed a little over 1.2 million in 2008 and more positions continue to arise. Approximately 40 percent of all positions are held in hospitals. The rest exist in nursing homes, assistant living homes and home health aides. Most positions within this field require specialization except for nursing which controls most of the jobs available within the field.

Changes in health care continually affect positions and treatments of this field. Statistics suggest that more nurses will be required as the baby boomer generation grows older. Thus these jobs at this point are the best route take if one is unsure about their future in the medical field. The best part of it is the qualification program doesn't take long. So one can go through the program usual in a couple of years and then begin working in their new career.

The future of this career field only show great promise as technological advancements allow for easier treatment. These advances have continually helped physicians and nurses provide better care for patients. The better care for these patients results in longer living patients which results in longer business arrangements.

The future of nursing jobs and medical careers show room for great improvement. There are many fields and paths one can take. For most of the jobs within this field however require many years of pre-requisition and thus one must decide early if there's a field they want. Nurses usually have many opening because of the demands required of them, however there are always great opportunity for one to advance in this field.
