When a person has locks that curl they may wonder what curly hair style choices there are. This particular hair type may look different in humidity and at the end of a day. There are some special considerations to make when dealing with hair stands that are not straight. Learning what styles may suit a person's face size and shape, may help someone pick out a style for them.

On a woman less than straight shapes can either be kept long or short. A longer style may involve allowing the cut to be one length and allowing for no layers in the cut. Long curly locks will fall nicely into place down the back. When a style is layered at the back and on the sides of a cut, it can increase the chances of creating frizzy locks during heat and humidity.

Long locks of curls, will need to have a product placed in it at the beginning of a day. The product could be a gel or a moose. When the strands are damp and almost dry, the product can be worked into the locks of strands. The mixture will help to hold the curls during the course of the day.

A shoulder length cut for a woman is also a popular choice. This will involve having the top strands on a head, longer than the bottom. With the top of the head featuring the longest strands, it can create an interesting shape. At the bottom of the cut, the layers will be short and may go up slightly on an angle.

Women who keep their cut very short may find that their curls almost get lost in the cut. Short shapes may keep hair from curling and may give it a thick appearance. Allowing the short hair to grow out a few inches, may give someone a new look. The strands will bend and twist as they are meant to do, in a longer cut. Strands can be nourished with moose and rollers or they can be left. Using rollers on a shorter cut is a great way to give height and body to someone's head shape. Using professional plastic rollers may help a hair cut stay in place over a busy evening or day.

When men have strands that are not straight, they may also wonder how to style it. There are a few styles for men that work well for this particular type. Men can try keeping the base of their cut short, with the rest of their strands a few inches from the scalp. It may give a nice shape to the cut and the head when the locks are able to grow out a little bit. Men may place a moose or gel into their locks and then scrunch them up.

Some guys who have wavy and curly cuts, may try growing it out to their shoulders. The longer look can help some of the curls disappear in the length. Heads can be left as they are or products can be worked into the locks.

Curly hair style ideas can be found online and through cutting magazines. When someone would like to change the shape and style of their cut, they may pick something completely different from what they have, or they may tweak the style that they currently use. There are many ways to take strands that curl and shape them into the perfect cut.
