My husband suffers from migraines and as anyone who's had a migraine knows, they are extremely painful and with symptoms from pulsating, throbbing temples to nausea, they can be completely debilitating. There have been several times when my husband who is normally a very active person has become incapable of doing anything aside from laying in bed in the fetal position.
Sometimes it seems like no medicine can make it better, but what many people don't know is that seeing a chiropractor in Manhattan is a common cure and is known to work as well or in some cases better than taking even the strongest headache medication.
When my husband has a headache the first thing he always tries is taking some medicine and lying down with a cold pack, but for the really strong migraine that doesn't want to budge we inevitably end up making a trip down to the chiropractor so that he can get an adjustment.
The results are amazing. We're not talking about results in hours; we're talking about instant relief. Occasionally a little bit of the migraine will still linger, and a second adjustment is needed, but for that kind of relief a trip to the doctor is completely worth it.
Many people don't know where their migraines come from, but it could very well be that some out of place vertebrae in their backs or necks are at the root of the problem.
In at least one study of people suffering migraines that received therapy including spinal adjustments the results have been very positive. Out of the participants in the study, 22% said that they had 90% less migraines than they did previously, and 49% said that strength of their migraines had been dramatically decreased.
While some people say that there still aren't enough studies on this topic and there isn't enough conclusive support to prove that seeing a chiropractor will solve migraine problems, my husband is living and walking proof that for some people it works.
Because there are different types of migraines, and people have different triggers that cause their migraines it only makes sense that different treatments might be necessary, but sufferers of migraines no that whatever treatment is necessary is worth it to get rid of the pain.
If you suffer from migraines and don't get the quick results you desire from medications, it's definitely worth a try to see if you are part of the 22% that can decrease the frequency or the 49% that can decrease the intensity of migraines by seeing a chiropractor in Manhattan.
