Do you realize that most of the under ground water line breaks contain some of the worst sewage water imaginable? Most of these lines are over 50 to 100 years old. Some of our water treatment plants are almost as old. This can also happen when we have large amounts of rain water. This kind of water will cause these old pipes to overflow sending this nasty smelling water everywhere. When these pipes break they usually send thousands of gallons of this nasty stuff into our yards, lakes, or harbors. When this happens, swimming in this water as it will make you very sick.
Many of these old pipes are made from clay and over time these will become creaked or broken. In a lot of cases, building sites will have heavy trucks that will bring in all kinds of dirt and rocks that will be added on top of the dirt that is already on these pipes. They are trying to level the ground so they can put up a new building. In doing this they might put more dirt on one of these old pipes then. This will put more weight on these old clay pipes. As of 2008, we have had more then 2000 breaks and spills.
With all of these spills, it has put an estimated 15 million gallons of this nasty stuff in our water ways. Causing all kinds of sicknesses to attack hundreds of people at one time. It can get into our well water and even our clean water plants. We have several different systems deteriorating all over our country. Our city and state officials have just gotten a lot of money from our government to start fixing these old water pipes and anything else that would go with it. We have so many things that need to be fixed but we really need to fix these pipes first.
This sewage will cause you all kinds of problems besides making you sick. It will cause your skin to become a yellowish color because these germs will get under your skin making it sick. If it gets into your eyes it could cause you to go blind. It could give your breathing problems that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Not only will it do damage to you, but it could make the ground become barren. If this happens, this ground will become useless for several years.
