The strips can be used each day for half an hour increments. They can bleach the teeth five shades lighter. Most people choose not to use the tray method because the fit is not exact.
There is another system people can try out and that requires painting the solution onto the tooth surface. This has proven to be the easiest for the unskilled hand to apply but the downside is that saliva in the mouth quickly dilutes the power of the paint product. The bleaching also appears to be not as effective as the strip method.
