A colon cleanser diet is important for those already in or anticipating to begin a colon cleansing program. To get good results, you need to compliment a colon cleansing program with a proper diet. Some of the undesirable diets that should be avoided at all costs during your colon cleansing period include: sodas, junk foods, black tea, fast/quick foods, pasteurized milk, smoking, alcohol, excessive rice among others.

Essential Supplements/Foods

Colon cleansing involves expulsion of toxins from our bodies; this process leaves one feeling weary and sick .It is important you supplement your diet with appropriate supplements to minimize these side effects .The following is a guide on some of the supplements you should consider.

A Probiotic

Colon cleansing flushes out toxins along with healthy bacteria .These bacteria helps in maintaining equilibrium, protect against harmful bacteria and aid in the movement of food along the alimentary canal. It is important that these healthy bacteria are restored. A probiotic such as Latero-Flora or one from the garden of life can be used to restore the good bacteria.

Raw Egg Yolks

Eating raw egg yolks once in a day is equivalent to taking a multivitamin. However, very few people will stomach the idea. If you are in the business of colon cleansing, it is recommended you take it. Its advantages are numerous compared to the disadvantages .There are ways you can prepare it to eliminate the awful smell and still retain the benefits. You can mix it with a glass of RiceDream milk or freshly squeezed fruit juice. You can still use it as a salad dressing.

Egg yolk should not be taken in large quantities at once, particularly for starters. Get your body accustomed to it by consuming it slowly but consistently. You can take a tea spoon on the first day and increase gradually as you progress.

Healthy Oils

Colon cleansing is a tall order for the body to cope up with it. Your body needs to be enhanced. Healthy oils are useful in the overall wellbeing of our bodies. They are important in maintaining a hormonal balance and keeping the glands in perfect conditions. They also help to maintain a smooth skin. Each type of oil comes with its own benefits. For example, wheat oil has vitamin E while fish has Omega -3 fatty acids. Other beneficial oils include Oregano Oil, Coconut oil, wheat germ, cod liver, olive oil. Choose one type of oil and take it 2-3 times a day.

Kefir And Other Fermented Foods

Fermented foods aid in replacing healthy bacteria. Kefir is best since it is organic. Sauerkraut is not a bad choice either.

Vitamin C Supplement Such As Ester-C

During colon cleansing, you can experience brain fog. This effect can be minimized by taking vitamin C supplements. Take them once every morning for the entire period.

Yeast Flakes

Yeast flakes are very nutritious and only second to raw egg yolk. They are particularly rich in vitamin B and minerals. Just add a scoop to a glass of milk or juice during your colon cleansing regimen.
