Dental formation is the grouping of the teeth in the mouth of mammals. It is basically the way the teeth are arranged in the mouth. Dental formula is denotes the arrangement of the teeth in the upper and the lower jaws. The teeth are used in digestion to break down the food for easy swallowing. They are known to grip, chew and also tear food.

The gums that hold the teeth are sometimes made weak. This however can be reversed using braces that hold the teeth firmly together. The teeth suffer from ailments such cavities, plaque, decay and gingivitis. Tooth extraction is done when the teeth suffer from these ailments. The teeth are cleaned using a special substance called the toothpaste that can be liquid or cream. The teeth can also be in silver on gold. These are used as decoration for the mouth.

The teeth of humans are grouped into three incisors, canines, premolars and molars. The incisor is sharp and pointed to shear and cut deeply into the food. The incisors are eight in number. The canines are located just next to the incisors. They are strong and large so as to hold the food firmly.

On the further end of the mouth is the premolar. They are flat and broad at the top. This helps the food to settle comfortably when it is being grounded and grinded. The premolars are larger than the canines but relatively smaller than the molars. The food is then passed to the molars for effective chewing and grinding into smaller pieces before been swallowed.

When acid in the food finds its way to the enamel of the teeth it eats up the cover causing the tooth to decay. Due to the corrosive nature of acid it continually eats up the tooth causing a lot of pain and even leading to an infection. This if not treated leads to a more serious case of tooth loss. Bad breath and loose gums are also other types of tooth problems that are experienced by humans.

It is very vital to ensure that the teeth are kept in a hygienic condition at all times to prevent the problems from emanating in the mouth. It is advised that one gets a medical checkup regularly to see if the teeth are in proper condition. Brushing of the teeth is also essential to ensure that the food scraps are not left in the mouth and also to prevent the teeth from discoloration.

A toothbrush is essential in cleaning the teeth. They come in different shapes and forms. They are made using bristles that are designed to ensure that the teeth are effectively cleaned. These bristles however can cause abrasions to the gums when they come into contact with the delicate gum tissue. This may cause bleeding of the gums a problem that is very common in today's tooth talks.

It is important to create awareness to the public on the importance of caring for their teeth. Dental health is vital for all people including children. Campaigns must be organized all over the country to ensure that people are taught how to take care of their dental formula.
