Plastic surgeons have the work of improving, restoring or repairing lost or defective body parts. Many people don't like the word plastic because it is associated with non authentic and others think that the surgery involves putting plastic in the body.

Opponents say that one should be happy with their look as God created them that way and changing shows unappreciation to the Deity. They continue to say that only the supreme maker has the power to mold a human being and that a human will only err and lead to serious side effects and even death.
Not all persons are qualified to have surgery done on them as there are points that they should consider before heading out to the surgeon's office. Most surgeons recommend that the person receive some therapy that informs them of the effects of having surgery done on them. An individual who was seriously damaged and who does reconstructive surgery may find themselves happy due to having their life restored while one who does cosmetic surgery may have a hard time adjusting to their new look.
It is important that the individual receiving the surgery find a reputable surgeon who has a lot of experience and who has been reviewed as knowledgeable and skilled in that area.It is important for the person seeking the surgery to ask for credentials as too many people have died in the hands of surgeons who claimed to have experience.
Plastic surgeons have a role in society and they should support their patients through the procedures and recommend several therapy sessions to help them deal with their new look. The job may seem fancy and easy but it is serious as one's life is at stake and one small error can lead to a need for more operations or even result in death.
