There are some special diets that include recommendations about foods for IBS in order to control your irritable bowel syndrome. But there is no certain exact recipe that guarantees you will get treated from IBS 100 percent. Indeed, different people can react to the same treatment in quite different ways. For example, some people can be sensitive to wheat products when others are sensitive to dairy. So in order to get desirable results it is better to make an individual diet plan for irritable bowel syndrome, according to individual preferences and sensitivities. Besides, the variety level of diet plans also depends on IBS symptoms which can vary from person to person. For example, an eating plan for irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea, of course, will differ from one for IBS with constipation disorder.

But below you will find some recommendations for most common IBS symptoms:

Enrich your daily ration with fiber.

Fiber is an essential part of any kind of nutrition plan for irritable bowel syndrome control. According to experts' opinions, every healthy adult should consume 20-35 grams of fiber every day. But be careful while choosing certain food items rich in fiber. For example, a high fiber cereal is considered to be not a good choice for those who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea. Besides, while planning changing your daily diet, start from the little amount of fiber (let's say 15-20 grams) a day rather than a larger amount, especially if you have IBS with diarrhea.

Eat more yogurt.

Yogurt, especially probiotic yogurt is a good food for controlling and relieving of irritable bowel syndrome control. Therefore such yogurt is often recommended and even prescribed by a doctor as a necessary part of prescription for IBS. Not every, but the very probiotic yogurts have special ingredients that replace the harmful bacteria environment with harmless bacterium, in other words they provide a neutral balance in the digestive tract. But first consult a doctor to ensure the right choice.

Minimize caffeine, alcohol and sodas in your daily diet.

There are also some foods which you should avoid or reduce consuming. Caffeine, alcohol and sodas are particularly harmful for IBS sufferers. Also be careful with the following foods:

1. Milk or dairy products (This food group is not recommended if you've lactose intolerance).

2. Chocolate (it is especially harmful for irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea. It tends to have a laxative effect and is highly acidic.);

3. Alcohol;

4. Drinks that contain caffeine, especially coffee and carbonated drinks;

5. Various preservative ingredients, including artificial flavoring and sweeteners. So Before buying any food for ibs always pay attention to its label.
