Many people, especially those in advancing age, are getting desirous of renew their skin. the market is flooded with countless skin care products that promise to rejuvenate the skin layers. But why are some people still getting so exasperated when it comes to finding a truly effective skin care product?

Briefly about the skin

The skin is a complex layer of tissues and glands, among others. Its primary aim is to provide protection against harmful environmental factors and microorganisms. It is the largest organ in the rudimentary system.

Collagen is a distinct protein type produced by our body. There are four main types of collagen, namely: Types I, II, III and IV. The collagen found in the skin belongs to the first type. It is also found in the bones, ligaments and ligatures.

Collagen combines with elastin, another protein type, to form collagen bundles. These bundles provide structure and elasticity to the skin. Substantial loss of collagen bundles in a specific area of the skin leads to sagging and eventual loss of elasticity of that skin surface.

Riding on big consumer demands for effective skin care products formulated to renew the skin, many cosmetic companies came up with various formulae and concoctions. Some even incorporated collagen molecules per se into those skin rejuvenating creams and lotions. Truth to tell, this technique does not work at all. It is because collagen and elastin have very large molecular sizes that prohibit them from being absorbed through the skin pores.

Worse, many of the skin care products are laden with harmful chemicals that do more damage than any good. Watch out for products containing mineral oil, petroleum derivatives, fragrance, alcohol and even paraben, a known carcinogen. Instead, go only for all natural skin rejuvenation products. Let me tell you what natural ingredients to look for.

1. Phytessence Wakame. Wakame is exotic kelp found growing naturally only in Japan. The Japanese people are known to consume this for several centuries. Clinical tests revealed recently that Phytessence Wakame is rich in Hyaluronic acid, which acts like glue, helping collagen and elastin combine.

2. Cynergy TK. Cynergy TK is a vitamin-like natural substance richly found in the wool of a specific breed of sheep raised in New Zealand. It contains Functional Keratin, which provides skin cellular structure. This substance mainly promotes collagen production.

3. Vitamin E and Manuka Honey. Vitamin E is an essential substance that greatly improves skin condition. Manuka Honey from New Zealand is rich in revitalizing substances and anti-oxidants.

Just make sure your rejuvenating creams contain all natural ingredients mentioned earlier. These powerful ingredients can help you renew the skin naturally and effectively.
