When people get older their skin starts to age too, no longer being as elastic as when they were younger so that fine lines and wrinkles start to appear. Before long, the areas where the person's face creases when making different facial expressions throughout the day begins to show wear and tear so that there are dynamic wrinkles that appear. Some of these wrinkles can become quite deep requiring deep wrinkle treatment to repair them. There are also skin fold wrinkles that occur usually around the nose to chin area so that there is a deep drooping set of parenthesis around the mouth region, with the folds of skin drooping around that part of the face and often continuing into the neck region. Finding the best deep wrinkle treatment for these regions is important since there are many out there on the market and they can get quite expensive and be quite painful.

Types of Treatment

Deep wrinkle treatments usually require more than one session in order to achieve the results that are desired by the person getting treated. Since the goal of the treatment is to bring the skin of the wrinkles up to the level of the healthy skin, the deeper the wrinkle, the longer the process of changing the skin so that the wrinkle is no longer visible. One of the most common deep wrinkle treatments is to get a face lift, which means to surgically pull the loose skin back towards the ears so that the skin again has its healthy, tight look of youth. This can be a painful process and it is not permanent, since the skin is older and will again start to droop with time, requiring another facelift or some other deep wrinkle treatment.

Another deep wrinkle treatment is laser treatment. This process uses CO2 lasers as well as other types to basically vaporize the old skin cells and to stimulate the collagen beneath the skin so that the wrinkles are effectively removed by bringing them up to the same level as the rest of the skin. Again, the deeper the wrinkle the more deep wrinkle treatments will be required to remove the wrinkles entirely. This is a painful process, so repeating it several times costs the person not only in money, but also in pain and the time it takes to recover from each treatment, which can be as long as two weeks. In addition, the treatment is not always successful, so the time pain and cost can all be for naught. Another method of deep wrinkle treatment is thermage, which uses radio frequencies to stimulate the collagen so that it is repaired and makes the skin smooth again over time.
