You've been looking at skin care ranges with a view to finding the best skin care line you can, and that's fine. You're interested in great skin care and you want to improve your skin health.

But "What's the best skincare line" is the second question you should be asking yourself, not the first. There's a cardinal rule of skincare and skin care products. Don't harm your skin.

Observing the golden rule can be more important than choosing the skin care line. Because no matter how good is that skin care line that you choose, there's a very good chance that your skin health is going backwards if you're ignoring the golden rule. Take some simple steps to make sure you're not doing your skin damage and you're way out in front, and may be doing your skin more good than using the best skin care products.

What do I mean by don't harm your skin? Just this. There's so many things that women do that harm their skin and they don't even realize it. Here's 2 examples. Smoking and sunburn. Both are dreadful for your skin.

There's a range of ways that smoking can damage your skin, (and your health). Smoking damages your blood circulation and good blood circulation is essential for your skin health, and your overall health.

And sunburn is no better. Sunburn damages your skin every time you get burned, and it has lasting effects.

And that's only the start. Here's another example that may really surprise you. There are big brand skin care products and cosmetics on the market that actually do damage to your skin. The reason is that the FDA has no brief to regulate what is put into cosmetics and skin care products, so the big companies can put about anything they want into the products, and they do. Mineral oil is a fine example, it's a petrochemical product that damages your skin but is very cheap to use. So it's in there.

And avoid some other things too, like big brand soaps, extremely long hot showers or baths, and chlorine in your water. Filter your water with a high quality water filter that operates on your shower water as well as your drinking water and remove the chlorine. And avoid that "exfoliation". That too can damage your skin if overdone.

It's certainly important to find and use the best skin care line and there's also no doubt that if you're using the best natural skin care products they work very well, and don't damage your skin. But although it's very important to choose and use high quality natural skin care products you cannot ignore the golden rule. If you are doing those things that I've cautioned against in this article then you're doing as much, or more, harm than good. You can't ignore the golden rule.

Don't do things that damage your skin. Ignore that rule at your peril. Then get out there and find the best skin care line and use it religiously.
