Concerns about the effects of drugs on our bodies are rife in society today. However, more and more people believe that we should be looking for natural solutions to our ailments, like gout, instead of relying on the quick fix that drugs and painkillers provide. There are many articles and reports on the web that show why drugs are harming our bodies. This article will explore why and how natural alternatives for gout pain are a much better solution.

Let us begin by exploring why natural solutions for gout treatment are better. There is research available that shows that the drugs that people use to treat gout pain are doing incredible damage to their bodies. Some of this damage relates to bone loss, damage to eyes, and even death in some cases. Some doctors say that it takes years before this damage occurs in the body. But actual case studies can show quite the opposite, with the possibility of damage occurring soon after beginning drug therapy. As a result, many people decide that drugs are NOT the way relieve gout pain.

So if you should not take painkillers and drugs, what other remedies for gout should you pursue? Believe it or not, the answer lies within you. Changing your lifestyle and the way you eat and drink is probably the best gout remedy of all. It is recommended that you avoid drinking alcohol especially beer. Gout foods to avoid are those that produce high amounts of uric acid like fish and red meat. You can get your daily protein requirements from good gout food like nuts, seeds and even protein supplements instead.

You also need to make sure that you cut down your risk factors. The best way to do this is to make sure that your weight is within acceptable levels for your height. Most, if not all people who suffer from gout, are overweight. Again, this all goes back to the diet of rich food and red meat. If you are worried about not getting enough protein in your diet, there are plenty of substitutes such as nuts, beans and supplements if need be.

Understanding how both a low fat diet and low calorie diet affects your gout is vital. Your gout symptoms may actually subside with a diet low in fat. However, your pain from gout could actually get worse on a low calorie diet. This is because a diet low in calories can increase your uric acid output.

There are many books out there that can help you with some natural remedies for your gout pain. Invest in one. You will find it very beneficial in the long run.

Do your body a favor and help it remove the pain from gout in a natural way.
