How many men do you think there are out there that have to wear a vest to help cover up the fact that they have developed breasts? There are a lot more than you think. Do you think that these men are embarrassed to be wearing these vests? You might be surprised to know that most of these men are not embarrassed to wear these vests, they are more embarrassed at attracting people's attention with their breasts.

Wearing a t-shirt use to be what men would do so that when wearing a dress shirt or a sweater they would be able to disguise the fact that they had breasts. For most men with gynecomastia t-shirts don't help the problem. These men are forced to buy something that is a lot more binding. Men actually have to get measured when buying a vest for gynecomastia to ensure that it is the proper size for them and to make sure it will be comfortable. Sound familiar ladies?

The proper way to measure yourself for one of these vests is first take a snug measurement under the bust line with a tape measure. Next take another measurement over the fullest part of your chest. Again not too tight but not too loose. Each style has a different scale based on the elasticity of the fabric used and the pattern of the cut, just like women's bras.

There is also something called the Gynecomastia Compression Shirt. These types of shirts are usually made from spandex and conform to your body and moves with you, this invisible undershirt eliminates bulges
throughout your upper body. It gives you the straight lines you want and provides your back with support from just under your neck to your lower back.

A lot of men choose to go with either wearing a vest or a compression shirt. Surgery for gynecomastia can be very expense as it is considered a cosmetic procedure. A lot of men can not afford this surgery. They are left with trying to find the cheapest and best way to cover up their problem. Men with this problem tend to dread the warm weather coming. During the winter months they can wear clothing that will help them disguise their problem but when summer comes they have no way to really hide it.

Men with this problem are similar to women who have a weight problem. Women who are overweight dread the warm weather because the layers of clothing have to come off and they then feel exposed.

There is no need to continue hiding the condition as there are treatments for Gynecomastia available. There are all natural exercise and diet programs that have had a great deal of success in recent years. Men should be attacking the problem not trying to cover it up.
