How Diet Affects Your Body To Lose Weight

Have you ever been on a diet before, maybe you are on a diet right now and do not seem to be doing as well as you had hoped. The problem with diets is that you need to find a diet that suits you.

A diet or healthy eating plan should not be something that you have to adjust your current lifestyle to accommodate too much. That is unless you have a really poor diet and live off take aways then you should think about a lifestyle change.

With the take up of any kind of diet you need to ensure that you are getting a healthy balance of nutrients. This means that you should try to eat something from each of the main food groups each day. Ideally choosing the most healthy and nutritious option, so to get your iron eat spinach and do not drink a pint of the famous Irish stout.

Your eating plan should also educate you about not only what you should be eating but in what combinations. Did you know for example that if you drink a cup of tea with your meal you are reducing the ability of your body to absorb certain vitamins and minerals. If on the other hand you replaced the tea for a glass of fresh orange juice you not only increase your bodies ability to absorb the nutrition form certain foods but you are also getting on of your 5 a day fruits and vegetables.

So you can see how changing your diet can have a dramatic effect on your body. Eating the correct combinations and portions can have a dramatic effect on your nutrition and fat loss.

Whilst everyone knows sweet food damages our teeth I bet you did not know that potato chips are far worse than sugary drinks and food. The reason for this is that sugars are broken down quite quickly by the saliva in your mouth. Potato chips on the other hand get stuck between your teeth and remain in your mouth for longer. The bacteria in your mouth feed on this starch and as a result produce chemicals that erode the enamel on your teeth. Bacteria also causes bad breath.
