Some of these people will be on call 24-7 to help with all of your questions and they will even help you get past the wanting of just one cigarette. If you were to find out that you have a medical problem because of this habit, you might even be able to have one of these people go to the doctor with you. Quitting smoking is a very serious matter and there are plenty of people out there that do understand what you are going through. These people will be there for you no matter what.
If you really are trying to quit, there are several products that you can use to help with this process. If you find that none of these work, you can go to your doctor and have him prescribe something that will. You can take up new hobbies like painting, model cars, building small toys, or whatever you can to keep your hands busy. The nicotine that your body craves will be out of your body in about three days to a week, so if you can last that long, if are on your way and the battle will hopefully get easier.
Some of you are able to quit cold-turkey and if you are one who has, good for you. This is one of the best ways, but one of the hardest also. Even if you have stopped smoking for years, the want will still be there just like with a person who has been addicted to hard drugs and you will have to fight it every day. But the longer you stay quit smoking cigarettes, the better you will look and feel. If you think that you might put on some extra weight, then make sure that you do other things instead of just eating more. Do whatever you need to and stay off of them once you have quit.
