A vaporizer is a device used to inhale the vapor of various herbs without producing harmful carcinogens. When you put a flame to herbs two things happen: the active ingredients changes states from a solid to a vapor and the vegetative material combusts producing respiratory system damaging smoke. A vaporizer eliminates both the need for a flame and the combustion of the vegetation that creates the smoke. Sounds like magic doesn't it? Well it isn't magic, it's just science. Use of a vaporizer requires that you follow a few simple instructions though.

First you need to plug in your vaporizer unit and turn it on to the ideal heat setting for your chosen herb. Your vaporizer should take in between 3 and 5 minutes to heat up; you should take this time to cut up or grind your herb and pack it into your filling chamber. Once your vaporizer reaches the desired temperature connect the filling chamber onto the valve on the heating unit and then connect the vapor collection balloon. As soon as you connect the balloon invisible but excellent smelling and tasting vapor should start flowing through the valve into the balloon. Trapping the vapor in the collection balloon prevents any of it from drifting off into thin air and allows you to enjoy the vapor at your own convenience. Although, I certainly wouldn't advise you to leave vapor in the balloon overnight. Once your collection balloon is full you can then remove it and begin inhaling the vapor through the flow valve attached to it and enjoying your carcinogen free vapor.

Just a few more things: A properly used vaporizer dramatically reduces the amount of unintended chemical inhalation caused by burning herbs by only heating the herbs to temperatures that release the active ingredients into the vapor while leaving the majority of the tar, carbon and other lung pollutants in the vegetation. Being properly heated also avoids wasting any of your herbs active ingredients to overheating from lighter flames. Don't be afraid to heat the filling chamber on the vaporizer for 3-5 seconds before attaching the balloon. The collection balloon should be changed every 50 or so fillings but depending on your comfort level it could be completely useable up until 100 fillings. If the screen in your filling chamber is dirty it should be cleaned but because they are generally made from durable stainless steal it should only need to be replaced once a year. Always make sure your screen isn't bent as this can cause particles from your herb to pollute your vapor.

That's all for right now. Enjoy, and happy Vaporizing!
