Drugs can be good or bad depending on how you get them and what they are used for, even some that you should only be able to get from doctors. Many drugs can do some kind of damage to your body even as they are helping cure or relieve some other ailment. They will help you if taken correctly, but side affects are very common. Never be under the impression that the only way to become addicted to certain drugs is if you get them illegally off the streets. Many people become addicted to prescription medications very easily. You can buy prescription medicines of the streets and this is how many addicts get them when their doctor will no longer prescribe them certain medications like nerve medication or pain killers.
Once hooked it is very difficult to stop. Some of you have gotten so hooked that you can nor function well emotionally or sometimes even physically without the drug. You may try to stop using a drug only to relapse and go back to it. When you are addicted to a drug that you can not stop using on your own, you will likely need professional help. There are several ways to get professional help and one good place to start is with your family doctor. He might have even been the one to give you the first prescription of the drug you are addicted to in order to treat a medical problem you had previously. Of course, he will not prescribe you any more of that particular drug once you have informed him that you have a problem, but he can recommend solutions. A rehabilitation program might be in order where you can have a counselor because most people who get addicted to drugs can have an underlying reason for the addiction.
There are so many prescription medications that are used daily by millions of people everywhere. Besides what many of these drugs are doing to the people that take them and become addicted to them, they are also contaminating and polluting our water supply. When we consume drugs of any kind, they end up in our water supply in the most obvious natural way and sometimes from being flushed down the toilet or dropped accidentally down a drain. Everything from birth control pills, hormones, muscle relaxers, nerve medication and everything else imaginable are showing up in water supplies that have already supposedly been cleaned and treated. This is a growing concern because not only do humans consume this water, but wildlife as well and there are deformities showing up in fish and frogs because of being continuously exposed to these drugs.
Too much of any drug is not good for a person when they no longer need it and we definitely do not need a drug cocktail in our water supply. This is a growing concern and it has not yet been determined exactly what can be done about it.
