A high heart rate with low blood pressure can be a sure sign of a bigger problem. The real question is what does it mean when you have a high heart rate with low blood pressure? This article is going to take a look at what it means when you have a high heart rate with low blood pressure and what it could mean.

Combining High Heart Rate With Low Blood Pressure = A Dangerous Mix

Simply having a resting high heart in and of itself is not a major issue, and low blood pressure by itself is not a big deal, but when you combine a high heart rate with low blood pressure you can have a serious problem. The reason for this is simple, in most normal people when you increase the heart rate pressure should go up. In fact, your body is probably increasing your heart rate with low blood pressure to make up for the lake of oxygen going to your brain. When you body does this and you still do not see an increase in pressure, you know that you may have a serious problem. As the body tries to compensate for this lower pressure by increasing your heart rate it can cause undo stress on your entire body as whole.

An increased heart rate will cause severe problems because your heart will continue to overwork itself and cause a higher potential for trouble. This increased resting heart rate is sure sign for trouble in the long term. Healthy people usually will have lower and more stable resting heart rates.

There are things you can do to treat your high heart rate with low blood pressure. The first thing you want to do is drink lots of fluids. I would recommend starting with at least 10 glasses of water a day for a month and seeing how your body responds. In most people this will be enough to increase your blood pressure to an acceptable level so that you body can then shut down the increased heart rate. In addition to that you can exercise to help increase the strength of your heart so that if it is having to pump harder it will cause less stress. Also, you want to avoid situation that bring on or cause your condition to be worse. There can be any number of things that increase your risk for high heart rate, so try to eliminate those. Having a blood pressure monitor with you can help to monitor when your body is reacting poorly.

Hopefully now you have a better idea of what causes and what you can do to prevent your condition. Follow some of the ideas outlined and you should be feeling better in no time.
