You Are Not Allergic To Your Cats

So, you love animals, have owned cats for years, and people keep telling you that animals are big allergen triggers. Well, I was under the same impression for many years, and I am happy to report that I am not allergic to my cats. It was thought I had asthma for a while, and I took medication for it. While many people have asthma and related breathing conditions (and asthma can be quite serious, so be sure and get checked for that first), when I was off the medication and a friend mentioned wheat and it's allergy causing reactions, I started to try and be as wheat free as possible.

So far, it's working, along with cutting out a few other triggers like chemicals in body lotion and shampoo. In fact, it is really worth the effort to try and weed out some of the many chemicals that are in almost everything we consume and use on or in our bodies. The old adage less is more, really works, and perhaps we should always strive to live simpler lives. Single ingredient foods (that you can create recipes from yourself) are always better anyway, and going organic or natural really does eliminate a lot of the allergy triggers. If you are a smoker and trying to quit, at least use a vaporizer as you go down that path to better health. They do not create additional toxins because the tobacco you put into a vaporizer is not burned, it is just heated until a vapor is formed.

Once you have quit smoking you can also use a vaporizer for ambient aromatherapy. Rather than burning incense or a scented candle (which often use produce allergens that are pretty rancid to an allergy sufferer, let alone the chemicals used in the candle), you can vaporize herbs or oils without the same harmful effects. If you are now relaxing with your cat on the sofa in the evening, burn a pure beeswax candle with a natural wick, or use the vaporizer. Both are a far better way to relax than the standard way (and your cat always helps you rejuvenate of course).

All of these withdrawal from allergens and chemicals and food product techniques are easy to try, and your body and cat will thank you for the attention to them both. Calmness and peace return when you, your cat, and the world is happier. As always, be well and happy and healthier.
