In our environment, we are so blessed with a lot of various species of plants and trees which serve various purposes. This purposes range from health purposes, feeding purposes, aesthetic purpose (beautifying the environment) etc. this and many more do the greenery of our environment hold for us.

One of the major purposes we will be looking at is the health aspect. Plants which serve for medicinal purposes are called herb, they range from the little plant growing in our backyard to the big trees in the forests. Medicinal herbs serve a lot of purposes, they treat various ailments like malaria, fever, cold, and asthma, hypertension etc. it's good to know that amongst its healing power is stress. There are herbal remedies out there which can be used to ward of and treat chronic stress issues. Prolonged stress matters are not healthy for a person because if not treated will lead to the gradual degradation of one's immune systems and glandular system and eventually lead to death.

Employing the use of herbs in treating stress is a very effective method, because not only does it save time and money, you always get the best results when trying to reduce stress. When using herbal remedies in dealing with stress, you not only depend on the herbs, individuals are encouraged to try and eat healthily, supplement junk food for real food. Also learn to eat more fruits to add to your body vitamins, drink a lot of water to always flush out your system. Also individuals are encouraged to get enough sleep and not just rest only, exercise is also another aspect to this , in as much as the herbs do the major work, try also in helping yourself. As we go on, I will be outlining some natural herbs which can be used in treating stress.

The chamomile: this is an herb which many people use in relaxing their nerves. It is drank as a tea and useful for people who have problems with sleeping.

The valerian: this is another natural herb used in treating sleep disorders, and it is also used for the treatment of an overwhelmed nervous system.

The catnip: this is used for those who are having anxiety issues and it is also used to treat stress problems.

Hop: this is a type of herb found in beer, it treats and decreases restlessness and anxiety, and also it's been known to reduce one's crave foe alcohol.

These amongst many other are the various herbs available for treating stress. Below are four methods of using some natural herbs in dealing with stress

1. the use of blanch tea leaves to make a cup of tea

2. apply 5-7 leaves to a cup of boiling hot water, after which you add some honey as sweetener and you leave to cool for some minutes to drink

3. Some people warm avocado leaves and place them on their fore heads this is another old age remedy.

4. when cooking a pot of white rice, add some palm and tulip with a lily bulb

The above amongst many others are the various ways by which herbal medicines can be taken when trying to ward off stress. To see optimum results, it's always advice able to follow the remedy judiciously, so that in your everyday activities, you live a stress free life
