Smoking Cigarettes Will Never Do One Good Thing For You

Everyone knows that smoking is a very bad habit. It is highly addictive and for some people it can be very difficult to stop. People who smoke need to quit because it is damaging their body every time they light a cigarette. The smoke puts toxins and chemicals into the body slowly, but the damage it causes is steady and sure. Cigarettes have over 4,000 chemicals in them and they will go into your system causing a variety of problems over time. It can attack the blood stream, brain cells, nerves system, skin, organs, teeth, and gum.

If you smoke, you need to rethink what you are doing to your body. You are ruining it and it can kill you. Smoking can cause cancers that affect the body fast or very slowly, but either way it will hurt you. You may not feel it right away, but eventually you will and it can cause a lot of pain. You can have cancer for years and not even know it. It can cause your organs to shut down or have to fight to keep working. Your skin can wrinkle and age sooner than it should. You will eventually begin look sickly in most cases because it can cause black lines under the eyes.

You can be in your twenties and look like you are in your thirties or forties because your skin and hair are dull and lifeless looking. It can eat away at the gum around your teeth and sometimes cause receding. Your teeth will usually always be yellow and stained when you smoke continuously. Having them cleaned and whitened is a waste of money as long as you continue to smoke. It is very hard to maintain a nice smile when you smoke cigarettes or use other tobacco products. Cigars, pipes, or chewing tobacco are no better for your body or your appearance than cigarettes.

You need to be smart, stop before it gets worse and the real problems start. Smoking often causes lung disease and this will lead to needing oxygen to breathe and eventually death. It can cause you to have a much shorter life than you could have. That is a very big thing to throw away just to smoke. The sooner you stop smoking cigarettes or using other tobacco products, the sooner you can start adding time back to your life span instead of taking it away.
