Other smokers might think you are crazy if you tell them that you smoke an electric cigarette. That is probably because they have never tried one. Many people are discovering how convenient it is to smoke an electric cigarette compared to tobacco filled, paper cigarettes. The electronic cigarette is the space age answer for those who smoke and want a better way to do it. You can buy a starter kit with everything you need included from around eighty dollars and up. Most kits come with an electric charger, two battery sticks, and filters that contain a nicotine solution.

The electronic cigarettes are charged in the charger, which plugs into any standard electrical outlet. While you are using one battery stick, you simply place the second one on the charger. You get the real taste of a cigarette and a very similar smoking sensation. Some people find that they can not even tell the difference especially after they have used an electric version for a few days. The smoke that appears is actually only water vapor that is heated when the smoker inhales through the filter. The air flow activates an atomizer that then heats up the nicotine solution providing the feel of smoking a real lit cigarette.

The smoke, or vapor if you like, that comes out of the electric cigarette is not a carcinogen and is thought to not harm others as real cigarette smoke that contains tar does. It does not have that stinky smell and does not stain fabrics or other surfaces in your home or car. Many people believe that electric cigarettes will not be nearly as harmful to you in the long run as real ones because they do not have the thousands of chemicals that are put into tobacco filled cigarettes and there are some toxicological studies that imply this, but the product has not yet been endorsed or entirely approved by the FDA.

The electronic cigarette filters are what actually contains the nicotine solution. These filters can be bought in a variety of strengths and flavors. This can be a pleasurable change for a smoker. You can order these other flavors and different strengths on the Internet.

The convenient thing about the electric cigarette is the fact that you never have to light one. There is no real fire involved, even though the tip of the battery stick lights up with a glow to mimic a real one. You do not have to worry about having a nasty ashtray always sitting around. You can put an electric cigarette down on any surface and it is perfectly safe and ready to smoke when you pick it up again because the charged battery is long lasting. Even though real cigarettes are being banned in more and more places, it is hoped that electric cigarettes will be accepted because they do not emit harmful smoke or smells to offend or endanger others.
