Do You Have Enough Determination To Stop Smoking

Do you realize the smoke damage you do yourself each and every time you smoke cigarettes? It does not matter if you smoke cigars, cigarettes or even marijuana. Usually, if you smoke pot, you also smoke cigarettes. This only means that you are getting twice as much smoke damage. Let us say for instance that a cigar is equal to one pack of cigarettes in the amount of smoke your body could receive, just think how much more you add by smoking pot too. You body can only take so much damage before it will start to shut down.

Your body can sometimes heal itself, but this is not usually the case as most of you do not want to quit. If you do decide that you really want to quit, you will need the help of professionals. You can find a lot of products on the market that say they can help you stop ,but these usually do not work because will power does not come in the box. As these are all habit forming as well, you might need additional help to finally quit. The first step is to make sure that you really want to. You can talk yourself out of trying to quit easier than you can quit. The second step is to find a some way to maintain that willpower and determination.

You can get into a support group that will help with any other things that might come along in your path to quit. If you end up under a lot of stress this could cause you to start back up. You can talk through what ever is bothering you so that you do not slip back into the smoking habits. If you drink alcohol and you find yourself wanting cigarettes again, as these items usually go hand in hand, perhaps you should curb your alcohol intake until you have conquered the smoking habit. If you find that you can not do this, then smoking cigarettes might not be your only problem.

Try to avoid anything that might make you want to smoke again. A support group might can help you get through it with out going back to these nasty habits. They might tell you that you will have to change some of the things and people that you associate with from day to day. In some cases this might be really hard to do as your work itself might involve the places that these habits got started in. But with the a little help and your own determination you can achieve what ever you want in life and without smoking cigarettes in it, it will be a better life.
