It's not only the men who are obsessed with having that six-pack abs that women are crazy about. Women are also in the trend of having the flat, fat-free stomach to flaunt when they are on bikinis.

Of course, having a well-toned abdominal muscle is not an overnight miracle, except probably for those who are gifted to have that lean, fat-free body. The fact is, you have to work your way out on having a flat stomach.

For women who spend more time sitting behind their office desk the entire day and whole week, those who have given birth or those who love beer, there are indeed tendencies of having those fats on the abdominal area. 1. Crunches. Crunches are said to be the best exercise for toning the abdominal muscles. You can do crunches regularly and make sure you are properly guided on the correct way to do crunches. You can also engage in Pilates as they can also build and strengthen your torso.

2. Walk, jog and do cardio exercise. Crunches may tone your abdominal muscles but you need to burn the fat around your belly too before you get that flat tummy. Cardio exercise speed up your metabolism and get rid of that fat while crunches will tone your abdominal muscles. Experts advise that these two should be done hand in hand if you really want to achieve that flat tummy you've been wanting for.

3. Watch your Diet. Make sure you cut on those fat, calories and bad carbs and instead focus on high-fiber diet and lean protein to help you with repair and growth. Make sure also that you are taking at least eight glasses of water to increase you metabolism and help you eliminate fat faster. Getting that flat tummy does not however mean not eating. To get the best shape you want, nutrition and healthy eating are also important things while you are also exercising.

Your goal in making all these may be focused on getting a flatter stomach but these could also bring you a way to rejuvenate your body and most importantly, get your whole body toned and healthy. You do not have to make this a boring activity. You can actually have fun while dong the cardio. Be creative and your goal to a flatter, more toned stomach will be achievable.
