Over 1 billion people worldwide smoke tobacco cigarettes. It is estimated that over 5 trillion cigarettes are smoked in a single year, and that's not even counting other tobacco products, such as cigars, pipes, and chewing tobacco. The result of tobacco cigarette use has been devastating as many are afflicted with illnesses that stay with them for the rest of their lives. Heart and lung disease, respiratory disease, and strokes are just a few of the many major side effects associated with smoking tobacco cigarettes. Wheezing, shortness of breath, and teeth discoloration are some of the minor ailments.
For those who have been smoking for over a couple of decades or even a couple of years, it might seem that all hope is lost. It, for the most part, looks like a cigarette and acts like one.
All the person has to do is inhale the liquid solution, which is comprised of nicotine (or no nicotine) and flavor, that is inside the e cigarette's cartridge. The user, or "vaper", gets the same feeling they do when using a traditional tobacco cigarette, but without the hundreds of additives. In addition, using an e cigarette around others is safe because the vapor is not smoke and is odorless. It does not contain over 4,000 chemicals that can include cancer-causing agents, tar, and toxins that a typical tobacco cigarette contains.
So all hope is not lost. Whether the addiction to cigarettes is physical or mental, the e cigarette combats both and has the great potential to help any chain smoker stop smoking.
