Doing this will only hurt you rather than help you. For example: If you are using a nicotine patch you can not smoke at the same time at all because doing this will really make you sick. When you have smoked so much that you are considered a chain smoker, a lot of the problems you will have in quitting will be the constant need to have something in your mouth and in your hands. This part of the smoking habit is just as hard to break as getting off the nicotine.
