If and when you try again to stop smoking what do you think you might use? Most surely you have already tried the patches and the gum with some of you even trying hypnosis only to find that all of these do not always work. There are some of you that will even try quitting cold turkey with most of you not being able to succeed in quitting. We all know that the process of quitting smoking cigarettes is not easy and it can take some time to get all the way through the process.
If you happen to be a light smoker and this would be someone that happens to smoke less then a half pack of cigarettes a day, the process might be a little easier than a person that smokes one or more packs a day. Once your body gets used to the nicotine, you want it regularly throughout each day. So the longer you smoke these cigarettes, the more you are likely to end up smoking as the years go by. Your body will begin to expect it often and when a person stops this habit, the body will start to rebel. You might find you are fighting with yourself to not light a cigarette.
You happen to be your worst enemy. You will tell yourself all kinds of things to make you take up the habit of smoking again. You will try to find any reason to go back to smoking. You might even find yourself trying to start a fight with your spouse to give yourself a reason to smoke a cigarette. Your body will be going through a lot of changes and some of the changes your body might not like. One of these might be that you will find yourself eating more than you did when you were smoking. This is something that you should try to avoid because it is never a good idea to trade in one bad habit for another.
The good things about you quitting is that you will have more energy to do things that you have not done in years. You might even be able to enjoy that pool you put in your back yard, or play catch with your son or daughter, maybe even take your wife out to dinner and dancing. Whatever the reason for your quitting, try to stay with it. Many smokers have to try many times before they can quit successfully.
