Have you heard of a new smoking device called the electric cigarette? These have been on the market for almost four years now and they have only taken off stronger in the last year or so. With all of the bans about the smoking of cigarettes in all buildings and the prices of them going up all of the time, smokers are trying to find better ways to deal with them. At one time the tobacco companies came out with the smokeless tobacco or chew as it is called. This is one way to still get nicotine without lighting up. But this product is just as dangerous to use as cigarettes.
The electronic cigarette looks like a cigarette but it is not. It is a small battery operated device that has a flow censor and a filter. The filter holds the nicotine so that when you take a puff on this you get the nicotine with a taste of the tobacco in a light water vapor. You feel this going into your lungs and you exhale this water vapor as well. You are not sending out any smoke that will hurt anyone around you making it safer for all.
When using this e-cigarette you might find that you like it better than tobacco cigarettes and so will anyone next to you. They are so much cleaner to use in your home or vehicle as you do not have to have all of those nasty looking ashtrays sitting around. You still look like you are smoking without any fire or ashes. You will not have to pick up or throw away all of those nasty filters that are thrown in your yard or all over the parking lot. The water vapor from the electric cigarette does not leave residue or stains in your home either.
The electric cigarette is becoming more accepted by many non-smokers because there is no odor that is noticeable coming from them. Most research studies show that the water vapor exhaled by the smoker is relatively harmless to others. There are studies still being conducted on the product and most of these are showing that the smoking device is much safer for the smoker as well because it produces no tar and has very few ingredients, most of which are harmless or already approved for use by the FDA. Any smoker would be glad to have a way to continue to smoke without all of the worry and guilt associated with smoking tobacco.
