Commonly Overlooked Benefits of a Vaporizer

Vaporizers in the home have become increasingly popular due to the known added benefits of using them for aromatherapy and disease prevention. Herbal home remedies are replacing a number of pharmaceuticals thus reducing drug costs for many households and eliminating harmful side effects associated with a variety of prescription drugs.

Herbal vaporizers are used in conjunction with ancient herbal blends to reduce stress and prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria in the home. These are the most recognized and beneficial of vaporizer uses. A vaporizer when used in the home also has some additional perks that are not widely recognized such as the benefits to healthy skin and efficiently growing beautiful houseplants.

The cosmetic market is flooded with products that guarantee to moisturize skin, reduce wrinkles and slow down the aging process. Not to say that these products do not live up to the claims, but one might ask why this is. The answer is simple. These cosmetic products provide much needed moisture to the skin. Exposure to the sun's rays, wind, and, of course, aging can cause the skin to become dry and damaged. This causes the skin to wrinkle and even become discolored.

The skin is the largest organ of our body and requires a lot of moisture to regenerate cells. Though a moisturizing cream can add this component to the skin, a vaporizer adds humidity directly to the air that can be absorbed by the entire body at once. All of the skin benefits from the added moisture in the air, creating healthier, smoother skin and stronger hair and nails.

As most any other living thing, a houseplant requires a certain amount of water and moisture in the air for growth and development of leaves, roots and blooms. A common misconception of those who keep houseplants is that if there is plenty of water going to the root system, then the plant will grow to its full potential.

This could not be further from the truth. In fact, just as the human body's respiratory system requires moisture to exchange gases with the atmosphere, so does the common houseplant. In order for there to be a swap of oxygen and carbon dioxide from the plant to the air around it, there has to be a measurable amount of humidity in that air. Most households, especially during the winter when heating units are running, do not contain enough humidity in the air for this to happen efficiently. Moisturizing the air with a vaporizer replaces the humidity and allows the plant to prosper.
