Did you know mold can get on your clothes? It can grow on there if they are wet or damp, and you can see black spots on your clothes. The black spots are mold that grow on there when they have been setting for a while. Mold can get on your clothes whether they are in the closet, laundry room, or if they have been setting on the floor. When your clothes get wet, you need to wash them and get them dried. Don't let them set because it will only cause trouble. The mold will stain your clothes, and you might not be able to get it out.
If clothes get wet, they will have a musty smell to them if they set for a long period of time. If you wash clothes and you forget them and leave them over night, they can have a smell to them and you will have to wash them again to get the smell out of them. When you go swimming, hang up your clothes outside or dry them when you get home or when you get out of the pool. This way, they will get dry and you don't have to worry about mold getting on them. Mold grows on anything that has moisture to it and it can spread to other clothes if the problem is not fixed.
Do not leave wet or damp clothes on the floor because mold will grow on it, and it can grow on the floor that it is laying on. When you dry off from getting out of the bath or shower, hang up the towel so it can dry. Hang it up on a towel rack that is far from the wall or hang it up in the shower rod so it will not get the wall wet. Moldy clothes can result in allergies and health problem, especially to little kids, which can affect them harder. If there are brown spots on your clothes, then that means it is stained. Sometime it comes out and other times, it will not depending on how bad it is stained.
Do not hang clothes in the laundry room because there can be moisture in there and it can affect your clothes, which can result to mold, water stains, or smells. Make sure there are no leaks around the closet because that can cause mold to grow in the closet, and it can get on all of your clothes and your other stuff. It can get on your shoes, hats, and anything else that is in there. You need to make sure your house is dry so no moisture can get on your clothes and ruin them.
