There are hundreds of products and programs in the current weight loss market, but these are mostly weight loss pills, diet patches and weight loss treatment options that are tainted with mediocre methodologies. Either that or it is simply too risky to use because of the number of ingredients used and the lack of tests conducted on the said ingredients, which would have verified whether the said ingredients are ideal to use or not.

As far as we know, weight loss methods should not be patronized at all, for the reason that it is quite pointless to do so. There are other remarkable means to augment weight loss, specifically those means that are not hazardous to the health or too expensive to be patronized. Among the surefire safest ways to lose weight is through natural means through dieting.

Dieting can do much for dieters not by lessening the caloric intake but by providing the dieters with better food options. Better food options are indeed a great way to come up with better lifestyle choices. At this point, the best diet is seen to be a high-fiber diet. Fibers come in two types: the soluble and the insoluble. Both perform different functions but at the end of the day, both the soluble and the insoluble fiber can aid in weight loss and health and wellness enhancement. There are many rich sources of fiber, like wheat, oats, bran, fruits, vegetables, and so the list goes on. But for those who feel that they still need more fiber in their diet. One of the options that they can choose is to go for a fiber supplement.

There are two choices when looking for fiber supplements. The first one is psyllium while the other one is flax. Traditionally, psyllium was said to be the more ideal but of late, several studies and research shows that flax is actually a much better alternative.

Flax contains more anti-oxidants, the first consideration for putting higher regards to flax than to psyllium. Additionally, though, Flax cannot cause constipation while psyllium often does. Last but not the least; psyllium absorbs more water in the system as compared to flax. Accordingly, this may lead to severe dehydration. If the reasons stated here are not enough to make you switch to flax-based fiber supplements, then we hope Brenda Watsons testament that Flax are better than Psyllium is enough to convince you.
