Despite the best of your efforts, you have regained all the weight which you had previously lost.
You are beginning to gain that extra lump of fat around your waistline and you desperately want to stop it from happening.
It is becoming increasingly difficult for you to maintain and retain that perfect body shape.
If such are the problems being faced by you, you actually need to work your way through towards a healthier lifestyle. Not only do you need to concentrate on your diet chart but you also need to focus on the kinds and types of exercises that you would undertake. Moderation is in fact the key to success if you wish to prevent your body from gaining or regaining weight. By considering the tips mentioned below, weight gain may be effectively prevented-
1.Eat a healthy diet- "Eat healthy and live well", the phrase says it all. There can be no substitute to a well-balanced and nutritious diet consisting of green leafy vegetables, salads and juices. This however does not mean that you altogether quit your desserts and fried delicacies. Strike a balance between both and consume them healthily in proper time gaps.
2.Fixing a portion size- Instead of having three meals a day- which is a general convention in most households, consume six meals but with a smaller portion size. Do not overfill your plate with dishes. Eat them all, but eat them proportionately. Chew every bite properly and eat your food slowly, relishing each bite. In this way, you will eat only the amount that your body actually needs- nothing more, nothing less.
3.Exercise Regularly- With hectic schedules dominating the day, regular exercise becomes difficult. Yet, time can be taken out to exercise within your daily routine. Simply walk up the stairs instead of taking the escalator or walk around your block rather than travelling to the grocery store in the car. The tiniest of these exercises can perform the hugest of wonders!
4.Undertake weight training- Once a week, enroll yourself in a gym and engage yourself with proper weight training and muscle building exercises under the proper guidance of a trainer. This speeds up your metabolism rate and burns your calories in such a manner, that you do not gain the spare pounds.
Always remember to follow the golden rule which states that one must eat breakfast like a king; lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. In other words, your breakfast may be heavy, but just as the day progresses, limit the intake of food. Weight gain may prove to be disastrous and difficult to control if you let it grow immeasurably. It is considerably preferable to eat healthy and in appropriate proportions to prevent your body from gaining oodles of weight. Prevention and precaution after all, is better than cure!
