The signs and symptoms of panic attacks are almost common in all age groups. However they can differ slightly when it comes to the teens and children.

There are some general symptoms and signs of panic attacks. For example a person may experience extreme anxiety and fear. The fear can be about the death or about loosing control over body. Some people report fear about "getting crazy" or "loosing the mind". Due to the fear factor the person experiencing the panic attack may tremble or shake uncontrollably or may also experience extreme sweating.

The sweating is often confused with many other ailments. It should be noted that sweating is not a sure-shot sign of a panic attack. So this can vary from individual to individual.

So if a person is sweating profusely he may or may not have an anxiety attack. Some people always have sweaty palms no matter what. That does not mean that they are always anxious. Sweating can also happen due to the use of certain medicines or certain other medical conditions. So basically sweating does not really indicate a panic or anxiety attack.

This is also because in an anxiety attack too, many people feel a tightening of the chest and in some severe cases also some chest pain.click here to learn a solution for a rapid heart beat. In fact 30% of the patients who are run to the emergency rooms of the hospitals in doubt of a heart attack are reported to have an anxiety attack.

The difference between a heart attack and an anxiety attack is that in the heart attack the pain is very sever in nature. Along with the chest pain the heart attack is often marked by extreme pain in the left arm and sometime in the right arm and other parts of the upper body too.
