Extreme panic and anxiety can threaten your life. So the symptoms and signs of the panic attacks should never be ignored.

It may surprise you but i was not surprised at all when i found out that women experience more panic and anxiety then the men. No wonder. The women have to go through the menstrual cycles every month, they have to bear the nine months of pregnancy and they have to bear the pain of the child birth.

At the later stage of the life they have to bear the menopause too. With so many physical, mental and hormonal changes, of course the women will be a group more vulnerable to the panic and anxiety and of course they will exhibit more symptoms and signs of the panic attacks. The mild symptoms reach a peak after 10 minutes and may persist for 15 to 20 minutes.

However if they persist for a time more than that then professional advice must be immediately sought. Keep in mind that there are no signs of the imminent panic attacks. One has to deal with them when the attack occurs. Usually in the beginning the symptoms do not get severe. But this is not a rule of the thumb.

Sometimes a person with the anxiety or the panic disorder might burst into an extreme attack just by a small trigger. The reason behind this is that genetics play a great role.

The anxiety or panic patients may or may not exhibit some or all of the symptoms and signs of the panic attacks. Also the attacks may occur all of a sudden without any impending warning. The symptoms and the signs of panic attacks will reach their peak in around 10 minutes. Also the symptoms typically last for 20 minutes but that is not necessary.

Sometimes they last for even a few hours. Sometimes a patient experiences a series of panic attacks within a few hours. After the attack is gone the patient will feel extremely tired and fatigued. It is reported that most of the patients loose of their energies in the fear of having another panic attack.

If the signs of a panic attack are persistent or you are getting a panic attack every few days or in worse cases, every day then you might be suffering from the panic disorder. Keep in mind to seek a solution for such a condition because such attacks can greatly impair your life.
