Are you setting out to try to quit smoking tobacco again? Do you feel good about it this time and feel like you just might succeed? You have to be able to deal with all of the aspects of smoking cigarettes, even the ones that you do not know you have. Some of them might be the mood swings, your temper, anxiety, and other emotional side effects. Perhaps this time you will have more determination and willpower than the last ties you tried to stop.
You always feel so good when you first start out trying to quit, but by the time you have been smoke-free for a few hours, that willpower might begin to fade when your body starts screaming for nicotine.. Your body is going through a lot of changes and all of them are for the better even if you do not think so. You may become so unhappy that you try to make all of the people around you feel the same way. The only bad thing about this is that the more you make these people feel bad the worse you feel also.
Try to keep yourself in a up-beat mood, but always watch for the down sides and when these happen it might be best if you seek out encouragement from someone else has quit successfully. After this mood has passed, then you can go to the places you want to go and start to have fun again. When you are quitting cigarettes, it might be a good idea not to go to the places you used to go as these might be the places that you smoked more. Going to the homes of friends that smoke might need to be off limits for a while until you have been quit for at least long enough that you can handle being around other smokers without caving in.
You can ask your closest friends that smoke if they mind not smoking around you just yet, some of them will likely be considerate enough to oblige you. You have to be very careful what you do when you are trying to quit or have been quit for a short amount of time. Sometimes the least little thing will trigger the craving to smoke even long after the nicotine has left your body. Try to find people to hang around that do not smoke or help your friends that do to quit like you have. Quitting smoking is a long procedure even when you are not doing it anymore. It is an addiction similar in a lot of ways to being addicted to some other drugs. Just because you are managing to not smoke will not necessarily mean that you will never be tempted again.
