Pregnancy is one of the most awe inspiring and amazing experiences a woman goes through in her life. At times we think of the baby who is growing in side a pregnant woman, the eyes, ears, mouth, fingers, and toes that are slowly developing.

You can expect people to go insane in situations like these, people get panic attacks and these people also include pregnant women.When woman gets pregnant, what does she hear about?

She hears about all the frightening stories regarding low birth weight, or complications. What does she think about then? Whether she can afford this? Does she have to begin thinking about saving some money for her college? The list goes on and on and never stops. Throw on top of this mess, there are hormonal fluctuations, and of course the blood sugar fluctuations, and temptation to eat more than the requirement, and the feeling of not to exercise. Go for a nice walk or watch a movie. There are a lot ways and techniques that can help you learn to cope with your stress levels. Some methods are really helpful in keeping calm in situations of high pressure. You can talk your doctor about it and he/she will certainly guide you according to the situation. Abdominal breathing is one way to overcome stresses, place one hand on your stomach, and breathe in slowly and deeply.

This will able you to feel your stomach expand while your shoulders and chest move very little. Breathe slowly, when ever a pregnant woman feels anxious or panic, she should put her left hand over her stomach; inhale oxygen slowly and deeply; she should feel that her stomach is expanding or moving out when she inhales oxygen and move in when she exhales carbon dioxide.

This should be done slowly; this can help take the mind away from anything that can cause worry. Pregnant women must pay attention to their diet. They should eat enough protein (like lean meat, fish, poultry, egg whites, and beans); should consume a lot of fruits and vegetables.

They are really good for the body and of course the mind, the nutrients in these foods produce chemicals needed to help calm the mind. They should do regular exercise and take sufficient rest.
