Nothing says happy holidays like the smell of fresh baked goods, the essence of a deep forest fir, and the aroma of cinnamon and cloves. The holiday scene is set with vivid home decor in an atmosphere of joyful celebration with family and friends.

Subtleties of the holiday environment are the most important components of creating a joyful atmosphere and one of the subtleties is the aroma found in the air. A good way to expand the joys of the holiday season is to enhance the aroma of the surroundings with a special holiday herbal blend in a vaporizer.

A variety of baked desserts that are widely popular during the holiday season combine a mixture of spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. These spices are known for their sharp, nutty and sweet smelling aroma. Highly complimentary to the smell of this combination of spices is the aroma of frankincense and myrrh which are tree resins that are commonly associated with the holiday season of many cultures.

Frankincense and myrrh both have a warm, very rich spicy aroma. They are used in many types of incense and perfumes and are excellent for use in an herbal vaporizer holiday blend.

A good holiday blend recipe makes use of the frankincense and myrrh in conjunction with cedar wood and orange essential oils. The spicy aroma of the frankincense and myrrh is very potent. As the idea of using the blend is to enhance the already present scents of the holidays and not overcome them, cedar wood and orange create a nice balance for the blend.

Cedar wood has an earthy scent and takes the edge off the mixture to lighten the aroma. The orange adds an element of sweetness the brings together the smell of baking desserts with that of the other ingredients of the blend. By using the holiday blend in a vaporizer, a vapor is dispersed throughout the air that is very subtle.

The best way to use the holiday blend is in a room vaporizer. This way, the aroma becomes part of the air as the vapor is disseminated throughout the room as it mixes with other elements of the holiday atmosphere.

A good recipe combination is to use equal parts of all four ingredients to create balance to the mixture. The subtleties of an herbal holiday blend are to enhance the aroma of the season. Use the mixture lightly to bring out the essence of other holiday scents to create an atmosphere of celebration.
